Call for Papers

The 2007 EastFIRE Conference will add one or more special sessions to the Agenda to share information about the ongoing Sweat Farm fires in Georgia. The 2007 EastFIRE Conference theme "Climate-Demographics-Management -- The 21st Century Fire Triangle" will form the backdrop for the special sessions. These largest fires in Georgia history, and associated weather/climate and demographic conditions, appear to offer a case study centrally relevant to the Conference theme. The purpose of the special sessions will be to share the most current information about the Georgia fires and to coordinate future research to meet identified needs. Dr. John J. Qu, on behalf of the Conference Steering Committee, will serve as the point of contact for organizing the special sessions. Please continue to visit the 2007 EastFIRE Conference website to keep informed as the special sessions for the Georgia fires are organized and for other Conference information.
